Free Samples: Sample Chapters Online

The sample chapters were selected to illustrate two different styles of organization for the topic chapters in the book, and to give you a taste of what you might find in the actual book. Some of the topic chapters are shorter and some longer. In all of them the focus of the chapters is on the discussion -- the thought process of searching for that topic. This usually includes what questions you might want to ask, major concepts within that topics, useful words to know or use in searching for those concepts, and examples of search terms and search strings that we found worked well. We hope that these chapters will show you there is a lot more to the book than links.
