The documentation is lacking. Included is the documentation included with the old GPL'd c-code. A doxygen api can be automatically generated. For a more modern documentation that covers the octave usage (actually they describe it for matlab...), you will probably have to get a copy of the official (non-free) code from OKO Tech. It is not too expensive.
