The 19th annual Midwest Relativity Meeting (MWRM19) will be hosted by the University of Michigan Department of Physics. Talks will be held in West Hall on Central Campus. (See Campus Map).
The format of the meeting will be as in past Midwest Relativity Meetings. Talks, consisting of short contributed papers, will be presented in an informal atmosphere. Each participant may present a talk of ~15 minutes, depending on the total number of talks. Abstracts submitted after September 23, 2009 will be scheduled as the program permits. Undergraduates, graduate students and post-docs are especially encouraged to make presentations.
The Blue Apple Award, sponsored by the APS Topical Group in Gravitation, will be presented for the best talk by a graduate student.

Traveling to and from Ann Arbor:
Getting around campus:
All buildings on Central Campus are within walking distance. University buses with frequent stops on South, Central, Medical, and North campuses run 7 days per week year round. For complete route information and schedules, please click here.
Parking in Ann Arbor:
Metered parking is available throughout town for $1/hour. Most street meters are enforced Mon.-Sat. 8 a.m.-6 p.m. There are also parking structures in many locations. Rates for most parking structures are $0.40/half hour.
University parking facilities are identified by signs posted at the entrances indicating the location number, parking tier, permits required, and enforcement hours. The signs also indicate whether visitor parking is permitted. The university has a few metered visitor spaces, at $1/hour. On Central Campus, a good place to search for short-term parking is the metered visitor lot next to the Thompson St. parking structure, near Madison ($1/hour). Between the Central and Medical campuses, try the Palmer Dr.
Unless otherwise posted, U-M staff lots and structures in the Central Campus area allow free public parking (except during special events) Mon.-Sat. after 6 p.m. and all day Sun. Exceptions are the Fletcher St., Palmer Dr., and Thayer St. structures, open to the public after 10 p.m. Mon.-Sat. and all day Sun., and the Coliseum lot on Hill St. at Division, open to the public Mon.-Fri. after 5 p.m. and all day Sat. & Sun.
Accomodations:
A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the Bell Tower Hotel. Please refer to group #1432. Reservation requests after September 1st are subject to availability.
