Instructions for Converting Project Report to
HTML
Copy HTML templates to your Zip Disk (You only
have to do this step once!)
- Insert your Zip Disk
- Open Hardisk on your desktop
- Open the Multimedia Course Software folder
- Open the MVS folder
- Open the MVS 330 folder
- Drag the HTML Templates folder onto your Zip
Disk icon on your desktop and release the mouse. The folder
should begin copying.
Move (or copy) your fig1a.jpg and fig1b.jpg to the
imgs folder in your HTML Templates folder (Only need
to do this once)
- Open the Media folder on your Zip Disk
- Open the HTML Templates folder on your Zip Disk
- Drag fig1a.jpg and fig1b.jpg from the Media
folder to the imgs folder within the HTML
Templates folder.
Copy Claris HomePage to your hardisk
- Open applications on your desktop
- Open the web authoring folder
- Drag the Claris HomePage 2.0 folder onto the
hardisk icon on your desktop and release the mouse. The
folder should begin copying.
Launch Claris HomePage
- Open the hardisk
- Open the Claris HomePage 2.0 folder
- Double click on the Claris HomePage icon.
Set the Claris HomePage Preferences (You need to do this
every time you use Claris HomePage)
- Go to Edit on the menubar
- Pull down to Preferences. A new window should appear.
- Go to the scrollbar in the Preferences window
and scroll down to Images
- Set "converted images folder" box to the to the
imgs folder within the HTML Templates folder on your
Zip Disk
- Go back to the scrollbar and scroll down to HTML
output
- Uncheck "use absolute pathnames"
Convert your graphs to .gif files
- In Claris HomePage go to File>>New
Document to open a blank document.
- Save this document as "images.html" to the imgs
folder on your ZipDisk in the html templates folder.
- Copy your fig2a graph and paste it into the new
images.html document.
- A dialog box will appear asking you to save the image you just
pasted into the HomePage document. Save it to the imgs
folder on your ZipDisk in the html templates folder.
Call it fig2a.
- Repeat for fig2b, fig3a, fig3b,...fig10b. Save them all in the
imgs folder on your ZipDisk in the html
templates folder.
Copy your text into the appropriate templates.
- Open intro.doc, methods.doc, results1.doc
and project_report.doc in Word.
- Copy introduction text to intro.html and
introv.html
- Copy methods text to methods.html
- Copy qualitative and temporal analysis text to
results1.html
- Copy segment angle, joint angle, joint velocity, and
angle-angle plot text to results2.html
- Copy linear displacement, linear velocity, and COM plot text
to results3.html.
- Copy discussion and references to discussion.html
