The telemetry graph that was downloaded after the first successful flight of Hybrid I

The Hybrid I rocket in our project space. The rocket weighs approximately 10 pounds when empty (note rocket on a scale). Visible in this picture are the altimeter mounting screws, and screws the couple the two halves of the rocket together. The yellow ribbons protruding from the rocket are connected to arming pins. Pulling these pins out would turn the altimeters on, and arm the rocket's ejection charges. The yellow ribbons were attached to the pins to make sure no one forgot to arm the altimeters.

This is the Hybrid I a second after liftoff. The rocket made a terrific buzzing noise on its way to its 3,500 foot apogee.

Some of the MASA members pose for a picture after the successful flight and recovery of Hybrid I. This is the first hybrid rocket flight for all of the MASA team members. In the picture are (left to right) Matthew McKeown, Rohin Moza, Greg Dunkelberger, Nimesh Shah, Ryan Anderson, Peter Gullekson, and Jeff Lydecker.
