  • Hi Simon, WoW! I can't believe how many friends you have. This board is packed! You and I have not met yet but I know your mom because I help her with Yoga on Monday nights. She tells me that you do some yoga but I don't know what your favorite pose is. I think your mom's favorite pose is one called savasana. That's the one where you take a nap at the end of class! :-)
Hope you have a good day,
    Martha

  • Hi, Simon.
I hope you are feeling better from your cold. Do you know that you can tell your body to get rid of the bugs? Tell the bugs to go away and to stop "bugging" you!
This is just a temporary fase you are going through, and you need lots of patience, you have to be optimistic, you have to experience lots of beautiful things, and you need to feel happy in order to get well soon.
I hope by the time I write to you next week I'll read that you are making even more progress with the treatment. I always pray that God may inspire the doctors and the scientists so they will help you, and other kids like you, to get well soon.
God bless you, and your family.
    Tatiana

  • Hey Simon,

This weekend I went to see Erickson and the other Cub Scouts race their home-made cars in the pack's Pinewood Derby. You'll have to ask Dad(?) or Uncle David about the Pinewood Derby - they might have made and raced their cars when they were boys, too.

I thought of you, because it won't be long - only a couple years until you're old enough to build and race your own car too. I'm sure it will be a load of fun.

Have a great day! God Bless,
    Erik

  • Simon: I'm so glad that your parents have put together this fantastic web site so that everyone who is thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way has a way to be in touch! I met your mom at work. And what do you think moms talk about at work? Their kids! Your sister was born about the same time as my youngest child, and you are the same age as my middle child, so your mom and I have alot in common.

Anyway, I thought you might enjoy visiting this web site that has stories and jokes for children. I wish you and your family all the best. And keep saying those funny things. I'll tell you something funny my oldest son said when he was your age. He kept asking me to get him presents for his birthday and I got really tired of his asking all the time. So, after awhile, every time he'd ask for a toy, I'd say, "I'll take your request under advisement." One time, he replied back to me, "Mom--instead of taking my request under advisement, do you think you could take it to the store?"

But the doctors at the U-M Hospital gave me the same kind of medicine you are taking now, and I am much better now. You are a brave and strong guy, so, dont worry, you will get better soon.
Also, I asked some of my friends to write letters to you, so, you will soon be getting cool cards, letters from all over the USA, Europe and Asia!!!!
    Stay strong!!!!!

  • Hi Simon!
You have a beautiful place here. Your dad tells me that you like to get mail so I've sent you a letter today. It's a puzzle so you have to put it together to read it. I know a smart guy like you would figure that out, but if you should need help I'm sure that your parents will give you a hand. I hope that you like the puzzle letter and that it makes you smile. I want you to know that a lot of people are hoping, wishing, and praying for you to get better soon.
All the best to you and your family,
    Joana

P.S. If you're in the hospital again, there are lots of yummy things that you can get to eat that aren't on the menu. I used to get cheeseburgers and pizza and tatertots when I didn't want what was on the menu. And if you want extra food, tell the person who delivers the meals. There are always meals leftover because of people who got discharged.

  • Hi Simon, Miriam, Mary, Marcus, Gran and Grandad...is that everyone???
You have the coolest website, Simon, and I loved reading all the love notes you"ve gotten. (I went to college with Gran and Grandad, and loved seeing all the Oberlin connections as I read.)I had
a good game of Matching on Play Mobil, too! Miriam, you must be a wonderful little sister to help Simon when he is not feeling his best. He should be proud to have you as his sister! I saw your Mom at church today and told her I was having trouble with the website, but I have decided it was just so busy with all the people trying to talk to you that I couldn't get through...hurrah, I made it this afternoon. I'm delighted to hear you like birds, as birdwatching is one of my favorites. You could join the Cornell FeederWatchProject and be a reporting scientist....also you can see photos of nesting birds taken by cameras right in the nests. Website is http://www.birds.cornell.edu for nests, and http://www.birds.cornell.edu/pfw for "project feederwatch". Do you have a feeder at your house or school...I would be happy to help you get started. Also, I have a "bird" for you which I will try and get to you sometime later this week. I think you will get a kick out of "Preston"!
Simon, you are quite a model for all of us...keep up the good work!
Love to all of you, Jane

It reminded me of when I ate dinner at your house once. Your mom fixed a great meal with shrimp, and one of my shrimp decided to fly across the table and land in your dad's plate!!! I was pretty embarrassed then but can laugh at it now. =) I can't wait to see you again!

  • Hi Simon,
We met at the going away picnic for Noah Kaczor. They e-mailed you were sick and in the hospital. I'm happy you are getting better and I hope you have a good time and don't need to go to the hospital again. It sounds like you are doing way better than anyone expected and I know miracles do happen more than people think, and I think you are a miracle and will get stronger each day and be out playing in the sunshine soon. We will remember you in our prayers every night because is very strong and does amazing things, especially for kids. Tell your mom and dad we will remember them too. And your sister too. I liked the pictures of you face painting. I did that a lot myself when I was your age, only I bit the heads off markers and drew on my legs. Don't try it though, because grown-ups get pretty upset when you do. Lot of love and good strong wishes are being sent to you Simon, and you will heal soon.

  • Hi Simon,
Its me, Granger, again. Since my mommy won't let me wake up my brother and paint his face (its still too early in the morning), I thought I'd send you another posting. I told mommy to send a photo of me to you so you can see what I look like - maybe we'll send a photo with our faces all painted (shhhh... don't tell my mommy!). We are going to the symphony today to see all the instruments and the condutor. My favorite instrument is the saxophone.

Oh, I hear my little brother. Time to go paint some faces.
    Love,

You don't know me, but my mommy met your daddy when he came out to visit here in Salt Lake City. I also am 4 years old and really like Thomas the Tank Engine too. What is your favorite story? I like the one about Thomas, Mr. Conductor (or "twinkle toes") and Diesel 10. Do you like Bob the Builder? I really like Bob the Builder - I was him for Halloween last year.

I just looked at all your photos and really like the ones where you painted your and your sister's faces. I want to wake up my little brother right now and do that with him, though Mommy says that its too early. I have a joke for you. What is a mouse's favorite game?

    Hide and go squeak!

We are all thinking about you and hope you get better.

Do you think she can still smell the sausages and drumsticks? Or do you think she is smelling another animal that was sniffing around there? Love and smiles!

  • SNUGGLE SHEEP
By Joan Curran-Ellsworth and Tommy Ellsworth

Once upon a time there was a boy who lived in the country on a farm with many animals. He loved the animals and they loved him. Every day after school he would hurry home to play with them. They were good friends.

One day when the animals where waiting for the boy to play with them, he did not come. They came to the dooryard of the house and called to him and made quite a racket with their mooing and quacking and clucking and baaing and maaing and neighing and oinking.

Finally, the boy's mother came outside to tell the animals the boy was sick. She seemed very worried and told the animals she didn't know what else to do to make the boy feel better. The animals thought about what the mother had said and each one had advice to share about how to make the boy feel better.

The horse spoke first. "Whenever my tummy hurts, I always eat a nice bag of oats. You must give the boy oats in his feedbag. " "What about milk," said the cow. "It makes young calves grow big and strong. If you would give him a cup of my nice milk I'm sure he would feel better." Not to be outdone, the hen added, "It's my nice fresh eggs the boy enjoys most, I'm sure they would make him feel better."

The mother thanked them all for their ideas. "I can give him all of the things you suggest. I'm sure a nice warm breakfast of oatmeal with milk and a plate of eggs will help his body to feel stronger. Thank you, horse, thank you, cow, and you too hen for your good advice.

Next the pig came forward. "Whenever I feel down, a nice mudbath always makes me feel better. Give the boy a mudbath,” pig said seriously. This notion made Mother smile. "A bath is a very good idea, but I wonder... Human children may not be as robust as young pigs, perhaps a tub of warm water and soap would be a better choice." The pig thought about this and agreed that perhaps humans were not strong enough for a good mud bath.

Duck liked the idea of getting all wet. "Why when I want to feel better, " duck quacked, "I just dunk my head right into a pool of cold water. Yup, I splash and I duck and it makes me feel good all over. " Mother thought a moment and then said that this too was good advice. "I will take a bowl of cool water and a cloth," she said, “and bathe his face and forehead to cool his fever. " She thanked the duck and patted him on the head.

Goat saw the attention the other animals were getting and did not want to be left out. He searched his goat brain for something that he could tell the mother that would help the boy. "Old shoes!" he finally bleated. "Old shoes! Nothing make makes me feel as good as chewing on old shoes." All the animals looked at mother to see how she would reply to this suggestion. Mother did not want to hurt goat's feelings and so she thought and thought about how to answer. Then she had an idea, "Oh, I see. You use the shoes as your medicine! You are quite right Mr. Goat, I should give our boy some medicine to help him fell better." Goat was very pleased with her response.

Mother stood up. "Thank you, all of you for your help. I'm sure if I use your ideas our boy will be feeling better very soon." As mother turned to go back into the house, a voice that had not yet spoken said, "Excuse me." Mother looked back to see who it was. The little mama sheep had come to the edge of the yard. "I have something I do for my young lambs that maybe you would like to hear. That is, if you want to." Sheep was very shy and mother encouraged her to speak. " When little lambs are sick or afraid they need their mothers to curl up around them and snuggle them. I think that maybe human children might like that too. " Mother knelt down and hugged the sheep and then went into the house.

Mother went upstairs to the room where the boy was sleeping. Most of the things the animals had told her to do could wait until morning. All except one. The mother pulled the boy’s head onto her lap and snuggled with him and stroked his hair and thought about how much she loved him. Soon the boy began to breathe easier, and the mother did too. As they snuggled, they fell into a cozy sleep and didn’t wake up until morning.

This is a story Tommy and I made up together one day when he was 4 and had bad cold. We had a hot-water-bottle with a fleece sheep for a cover and decided to make a story about her. Tommy supplied all the animals that came to speak to the mother. He is now 9 years old and in the 3rd grade. JC, January 2002

    Dear Simon,
I hope you feel better soon and my favorite picture was the one with your face painted. Are you reading any good books lately? If I could read you my favorite books, they would be the "Minnie and Moo" books by Denise Cazet, Rosemary Wells' Bunny Planet books, and Cynthia Rylant's "Everyday" books. You're my best friend, too, and I miss you.
Simon, say "hi" to Miriam for me and give her a hug.

  • Hi, Simon! Hello to Mom, Dad, and Miriam, too!

Just wanted to let you know that I've passed your name along to a bunch of other people -- you may be hearing from some of them sometime. Everyone I talk with is so impressed that you've got your own website and that you're generously sharing it with your family and friends!

I sent you a joke in the mail, and here's another one (one of my children came up with this at about age 3 -- I hope I get it right!): Q: Why did the elephant cross the road? A: Because he wanted to swim in APPLESAUCE!! :-) (When I picture that in my mind, I come up with a *really* silly image -- how 'bout you??)

My family and I say prayers for you every night, asking God to help you and your family and doctors all do your big jobs, so you can become stronger and healthier every day. Already it's *very* impressive what you've accomplished -- keep up the good work!

Love, Kris, Rob, Emily, Danny, and Laura

Andre has a message for you. . .Simon, I miss you. I played with you right at the beginning of the year. I hope what you are doing in your hospital is going to the playroom sometimes. Is that your best thing in the hospital? I have books to share. The ones about flying frogs and George and Martha. Cov dove dover (laughing). I think I have too much to say and that's the end. Bye. Love Andre

From Andre's Mom. . .even though we haven't seen you recently we've been thinking about you everyday Simon and checking in on your wonderful website. Andre's had a cough and he did not want to pass it along to you or your family, but now he's feeling better so maybe you two can play together soon. Andre has some books in a pile waiting that he wants you to borrow and enjoy. We also have some pictures from the ArtTrain and some of you two playing with play-doh together that we will share with you very soon. You know what, I saw your Mom driving the other day and she was making some nice and fun faces, does she do that with you and Miriam sometimes too? Much Love - Lindsay

  • Dear Simon,
Hi there! You don't know me but I know your mother from work. She is really awesome! I can tell you are too.

I have three sons so you know I think boys are really cool. We also have 4 cats -- two boys and two girls. Some people think that animals don't understand what humans say but we don't think that is true because our cats always understand us.

Here is one of our family's favorite stories about our cats. One day my son Andrew wanted to tease our oldest cat whose name is Whiskers. Andrew said, in a very sweet, nice voice, "Whiskers you're pretty but I think Puck is much prettier and smarter than you." Well, you know what happened? Whiskers got off the chair and walked into the middle of the room and sat down with his back to Andrew. He wouldn't let Andrew pick him up and wouldn't let him touch him until Andrew got down on the floor and told him, "Oh Whiskers, I was only kidding. YOU'RE the prettiest, smartest kitty we have." When Andrew said that, then Whiskers came over to him and cuddled up to him!

I hope this silly cat story made you smile. Your webpage is way cool. It made me smile. : )

I will keep you in my prayers everyday until you're well. Then maybe I can meet you in person because I can tell you are a really fun guy.

    Until next time,
    Lots of hugs,
    deborah

Courtney and Marley love you all and speak of you often. Marley tells me about the fun she has playing with you at school. When you returned to school after your treatments she was so happy you were back. I got a special call that day to tell me the good news. When Marley came to visit me, we said prayers for you and your family and those moments were very special. Marc (Pappa) and I will continue to pray for you and your family and Marley and Courtney and all those that love you. Thank you for Simon's Place. I saw your lovely picture on the web and came to know what a fighter you are. My son Aditya will be 6 years soon and he too was in hospital last year for some time- he watched TV and cartoons most of the time and he misses the freedom he had at that time from the books and studies. Hope you are having fun fighting with all your energy and I can tell you that you will be fine soon to make a snowman and for going down on a sledge near the community center. Dont worry, it is not much of snow right now outside so you are not missing much if you are not coming home these days. Aditya, Priti and I wish you well and hope to see you soon.

  • Hello, Simon!

Do you remember us? I am one of your Sunday school teachers, and Victor is in your class. We were so glad to see you at church on Sunday! We had been wondering where you and your family were, because we hadn't seen you in a while. Now we know that you have been very busy working on getting better from your sickness. I was really glad you were feeling good enough to play duck, duck, goose with us! Thank you for talking to us about your hair and your medicine, and your central line. It was very interesting. You are very brave and very strong. Now you just started some more chemotherapy in the hospital yesterday, so maybe we will not see you in Sunday school for a little while. But we will sure be thinking about you and holding you and Miriam and your mom and dad in our hearts.

Here is Victor's favorite knock knock joke:

    Knock, knock!
    Who's there?
    Banana.
    Banana who?

    Knock, knock!
    Who's there?
    Banana.
    Banana who?

    Knock, knock!
    Who's there?
    Banana.
    Banana who?

    Knock, knock!
    Who's there?
    Orange.
    Orange who?
Orange ya glad I didn't say 'banana' again?!!

Take care! We are rooting for you. (Go, Simon!)

  • Dear Simon,
What a beautiful picture of you! You look very determined, intelligent...and very handsome!
I heard that you like animals, and so do I.
Did you know that thw baby zebras can recognize their mothers by their black and white body pattern? Each zebra has its unique pattern, and it is very important for the babyzebra to look only at its mother after it is born so the right pattern can be memorized. it will take some minutes, but after that the baby zebras will never forget how their mothers look like. Isn't that something?
Simon, when I look at your picture I see a healthy boy, a winner in front of me. Rest a lot, eat well, and keep your focus on getting well soon. You can do it, specially because you are not alone. God is taking care of you, never forget it!
    With love,

  • Dear Simon-

I used to work with your Mom at the Davidson Institute, and I also know your Dad. I have two kids: Katie, who is 11 and Alexander, who is 8. I wanted to tell you a story that they loved when they were about your age. It's about kids and their Moms (and Dads) and how wonderful it is to have a family that loves you. Here it is:

Once upon a time, in Russia, there was a little boy who went to the market with his mother. He got lost, and was taken to the tsar's palace. The tsar sat the little boy on his lap and said, "What can you tell me about your mother, so that we can find her for you?" And the little boy said, "My mother is the most beautful woman in the whole world."

So the tsar sent out his messengers to find all the most beautiful women in the city, and in the nearby areas. These beautiful women came dressed in fine silk dresses and fancy hats and paraded before the boy and the tsar. Andthe boy said "That's not my mother." "That's not my mother." "THAT's not my mother." "That's NOT my mother."

Once again the tsar sent out his messengers, this time to the far reaches of his empire, and even to neighboring countries, trying to find the most beautiful woman in the whole world. And again, as they paraded front of the boy and the tsar, the boy didn't see his mother.

Finally, a simple woman from the country, with hands that washed dishes and picked potatoes, and hair tied back from her face, knocked at the palace door. "I hear that you have a little boy here, who is looking for his mother." The guards didn't want to let her in at first. She was too plain and tired-looking. But the tsar said she could come and see the boy. When she walked into the throne room, the little boy leaped off the tsar's lap and raced towards his mother, crying "Mama, Mama, where have you been? We've been looking for you, the tsar and I!"
And he turned to the tsar and said, "See, didn't I tell you that she was the most beautiful woman in the whole world?"

    The End

Please give my love to your parents.Katie and Alexander and I will be saying prayers for your family every night, and waiting for you to get better.

    Anna

You may not know me, but I see you sometimes when you visit First Church in Oberlin. I sing in the choir with your grandmother. Your visit to the zoo sounds like great fun! Last year I went to Africa and saw some animals like giraffes, elephants, lions, monkeys and crocidiles, but they weren't in cages. It wasn't too scarry because we stayed in our land rover to watch them. I hope you're having a great day! We're sending lot of good thoughts your way.

  • It has been a delight to catch up on all of Simon's messages today! It's fun to hear from old friends, meet new ones, and learn from all your different ways of talking to us about the big job we're doing.

Some of you have offered help (we will call when we need you!). Some have wondered about how to make a difference by donating blood. Since Simon (and many others) will rely on the general blood supply, it's important for all of us to donate regularly, wherever we are. You can learn more about donating through the Red Cross or call 1 800 GIVE LIFE (1 800 448-3543) to make an appointment.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Simon received his first blood transfusions during a period of low immunity and fever after his first cycle of chemotherapy. It made such a difference! He went from pale and listless to feeling much better after receiving one unit of blood. It was amazing to me!

You don't know me, but a friend of mine from my Church told me about your website. His name is Erik Andrews and I understand he is also a friend of yours. He's a good friend to have because he's asking so many people to pray for you. Wow, what a wonderful web site you have. It will be so much fun to see how many different new friends from all over the country you will make. Our church will be praying for you and your family. Try and remember to talk with God every night. Jesus tells us he especially loves children and even though WE may not understand why sometimes we hurt and are sick God knows and he will help you. I know you are sooo special to HIM. YOU've already been a blessing to people you don't even know by having this website and sharing information about those bad cells with other children and their families. THANK YOU, SIMON....Maybe we will talk again soon. "Miss Pam"

  • Hi Simon -

I know your Mom may not be much of a sports fan, but you'll be able to teach her soon enough...

As a start, you've done some good planning! If your medicine plan goes according to schedule, you should be ready to watch the local baseball team, the Detroit Tigers, open their home season on April 5th against Grandma and Grandpa Craig's team the Cleveland Indians!
You'll also probably be in fine shape to watch the Final Four on April 1st, (but don't plan on your teams from Michigan being in it this year)! That's if Mom and Dad let you stay up pretty late for a night (:^)

And finally, and this is the one I'm most rooting for - if you are visiting Grandma and Grandpa in Ohio in May during Commencement weekend (5/25-5/26), we'll hopefully get to see you there!
Whether under the Illumination Night lanterns or at First Church or somewhere else.

Many prayers are headed to you from Maryland. Strong Simon - I like the sound of it!

    God Bless -
    Erik (and family) Andrews

  • After supper Madi was looking at Simon and Miriam's picture. Lexi approaches, "Maybe we could talk to the Simon's computor before bed". Down stairs by the computor Lexi says,"Let's say something silly" "How bout, how bout, how bout. . .Why did the elephant cross the street? because he wanted to see his other elephant friends who were silly". Madi bellows, "BuuBahh! BuuBahh!" I imagine some of the humor is lost via email but, I'll tell you they certainly are crakin' themselves up. Lexi adds,"I care about him. . .he is my big cousin friend" Madi says "me too!". "Let's look at their pictures again"

You all are in our ongoing thoughts and prayers.

We have been very far away this last week, but you have been close in our thoughts. Grace is planning to draw you some more pictures, and Logan likes looking at photos of you all playing together at Crystal Lake. Your web site is wonderful, and we are grateful to you for enabling us to keep up with your progress. Lucy especially loves the "Simon Says" section. We send you many warm fuzzies from Grace, Logan, Lucy and Ben, and we will send off a letter with drawings soon.
Your strength and perseverance is inspiring to us all.
    Much love,
    Lucy, Ben, Grace and Logan

  • Hi Simon and family,
Boy, is it great to see your website! It is sooooooooooo neat-o-cool and really helpful too! Madi and Lexi say, let's sing them a song (thoughtful look). . . "but they can't hear us. . .we could sing it any way. . .they might hear it somehow") Lexi's song from school "Joy is like a fountain in my soul. . . love is like a river, love is like a river, love is like a river in my soul" (there are lots of great hand motions that go with this song) Madi's pick is A,B,Cs because Simon has an S and Miriam has an M "M is the same for Madi". Thank you so much for putting this wonderful website together. We love seeing your pictures and reading Simon's words and your conversations. What a gift you give us all in sharing this.
We love you all so much -- we have been very far away this past week on vacation and now that we are back in Seattle we still feel very far away but, this website helps us feel a bit closer -thanks. We continue to hold you all gently but, firmly in our loving and healing thoughts and prayers.

    love,
    Lawrie, Curt, Madi, and Lexi

  • Hi, Simon! You don't know me, but I'm in a group with your mom at Oberlin. We met there in early December and got talking about the fact that we both have children who are 4 years old! My daughter Laura will have her next birthday on June 24 -- when's your birthday?

I REALLY like your website -- you have all the colors of the rainbow in it, and lots of great things like "Simon Says" (that's one of Laura's favorite games, by the way!). And I was especially impressed that you've been getting messages from ALL over the country -- I even saw one message from Germany. Wow, are you popular!

I'm glad you were feeling well enough to come home from the hospital recently, and my family and I will be sending you all kinds of healthy, healing thoughts from Upstate New York. Hugs to you and to your mom, dad, and sister, too!

Kris, Rob, Emily, Danny, and Laura Hopkins

My teacher Polly taught me a nice song last week and I wanted to sing it to you. It goes like this: " All I really need is a song in my heart, food in my tummy, and love in my family". My mom says that song and love also have a magic curing power and that if we sing together with all your friends and family, and send our love to you, those balls will soon pop up and be gone forever. Big loving hug from Max and his Mommy and Daddy

  • Dear Simon, Miriam, Mary, and Markus,

I LOVED your colorful website. It made me feel as good inside as I hope you're going to be feeling, Simon. I've missed seeing you since Noah and Rachel moved to California and Noah stopped going to Gari's music class. I just visited them in California and brought you something from Joshua Tree National Park. Can I drop by sometime this week (after 5:45 p.m.)? Should I call first? I'm also commissioned by Marcie and David to pick up and bring you anything any of you might need. Just tell me what -- and when. I'm also a good cook and would love to make you something when you're not enjoying that yummy hospital food. Call me at home (734-449-9394) or during the day on my cell phone (734-730-0894), or email me. I'm in Ann Arbor daily and often shop at various Kroger stores, Whole Foods, Arbor Farms, the Coop, K-Mart, Meijers, and Borders, should you want something picked up from any of those places.
    Love, Connie

We go to the UU church and I work in the nursery sometime with Mirium. I've met you when you drop off Mirium. We spent a lot of time at Mott a while back with one of my kids and there are lots of good people there to help you get better, and there are some fun people there too. We got to know some of them. My daughter said to be sure to have Adrienne come and paint some cool drawings on your arm or ask Shannon Scott to come and do some art with you--she's a super fun art therapist.
Say hello to Mirium to for us and tell her we miss her at the church nursery.
    Lots of HUGS!!

"Hope you come through your treatment with flying colors! And can I have a play date with Miriam?"

  • Hi Simon:

Well, you have the most fantastic website! I'm a friend of your mom's and dad's and you may remember my daughters Julia and Leah -- they're the very smart and pretty girls you see at parties sometimes! You've probably seen them at the dessert table which is where they spend most of their time at parties. Anyway, I hear that you were in the hospital recently. I hope they gave you jello. When I was in the hospital many years ago to have my tonsils out, I got to eat jello. And when I was in the hospital having Julia and Leah, I got to eat popsicles, so see if you can get some popsicles whenever you are there! I also heard that ladybugs are good luck. Well, this year you may know that all of Ann Arbor has millions of lady bugs -- they are everywhere in our house trying to get out of the cold -- in the lights, in the ceilings, on the rugs. So, they must all be thinking of you and sending you good luck! Well, I have to go now, but you keep resting, cooking, playing. Say hi to your parents and wonderful sister for me. Love, Paula Caproni

I send you a big hug and a kiss even though I've never met you! And lots of invisible magical love glitter that floats around and heals your body from top to toenail.

I have a picture of your Mommy holding my daughter Miranda when she was a tiny baby. I knew then that your Mommy would be a very very good Mommy.

We have a large red-apricot poodle. His name is Truffle. We hardly ever have to give him a bath because he is exactly the same color as the dirt around here. It's true. Some people tell us we have a very nice white poodle (because they think he is that color because he's been rolling around in the dirt -- which he does anyway.)

I send you and Mom and Dad and Miriam and all the angels that are helping you my warmest love.

    Until next time!

This website is great - all the colors that remind me of the sweaters Mary has made our little ones. The information and pictures are helpful, and this message board gives us - the international community who love you - a place to collect and send our support. Thank you for such a gift.
It was pretty nifty to hear about (and see pictures of) the special visit by Gemini...Simon's favorite musicians! We hope you enjoyed playing with the modeling magic we sent you. Schuyler says hi and sends a big hug to his special buddy Simon. "I hope you feel better," he says. Emma sends kisses and hugs to both Simon and Miriam. We are on the ready - just a short drive away - to come and help as soon as you need us. With love and huge amounts of positive energy,

  • Hi Simon! I'm thinking about you-I hope you received the package Rebecca and I sent with some things to do for fun. I also hope you like the monkey--when my grandson, Alex was here for Christmas, we visited the Cleveland Zoo Rain Forest. The orangatangs(a very funny and large monkey family) kept us entertained a lot! There was a brand new baby that his mother carried with her constantly. There were 3 older babies that were full of tricks with the burlap sack. They put it on and rolled around and played peek-a =boo! The father sat at the window and made faces at us(he also picked his nose and ate what he fund--YUK!) The rain forest also has a fabulous ant-eater with the most amazing long and fancy tail you have ever seen--his nose isn't too short either!

We are all thinking about you and hope you are feeling better and getting stronger every day! Love, Daune
