The physical Higgs boson mass has been measured to a precision better than one percent, and that will improve by a factor of two or so.  Theories that predict Mh typically will do so at a high scale.  RGE running will introduce uncertainties mainly due to lack of knowledge of the top quark Yukawa coupling and the strong coupling of order one per cent.  In addition there will be some uncertainty in the theory prediction itself, and some uncertainty due to our ability to calculate Mh from the theory.  The last uncertainty can be improved by theoretical work, and it is very important to do that.

The MCTP will have a small workshop focused on activity and results aimed at improving the ability to calculate Mh from a theory, and determining the best precision possible.  The workshop will also hopefully address issues  about what calculations could best improve the ability to calculate Mh.

The workshop will be at the MCTP on the University of Michigan campus, Ann Arbor, December 12-14, 2013.  Participants are welcome to give a talk relevant to the workshop focus, but do not need to talk. Please let us know if you would like to talk when you register. Considerable time should be available for discussion.  Some, but limited, funds are available to support participation, and we encourage those needing support to request it. Support for local expenses is easier to arrange than for travel expenses.  Information is available to facilitate arranging travel and accommodations at the "Hotel/Travel" link.  The large international Detroit airport (DTW) is 30 minutes from U of M's Central Campus.

We encourage you to participate.
