Local Travel Information

Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW, aka Metro-Wayne County) is the closest airport servicing all major airline carriers domestically and internationally. It is approximately 25 miles east of Ann Arbor. Taxis and car rental agencies are available at the airport. All forms of transportation accept cash or credit. Driving time to Ann Arbor from the DTW airport is approximatley 30-40 minutes assuming no traffic hold-ups.

Visitor Parking Information for the "Palmer Stucture," which is the closest VP stucture to the workshop site in Palmer Commons:

Parking on central campus of the University can be difficult at times. You may wish to choose a hotel within walking distance. However, if you need to drive to central campus or rent a car then the closest Visitor parking garage near the workshop site (Palmer Commons) is the Palmer Structure located directly behind (east of) the Fletcher structure. Parking rates are $1.10 per hour. This Visitor parking garage is located accross the street from the Power Center and next to the Undergraduate Science building.
