The UM Gliding and Soaring Club (UMGSC) is affiliated with the Kitty Hawk Soaring Club in Manchester, MI. Members of UMGSC who wish to fly on a regular basis will be required to pay Kitty Hawk soaring Club initiation and monthly club dues as well as join the Soaring Society of America for insurance purposes. This, however, is not required to belong to UMGSC. Members who wish to fly occasionally may pay the single flight rate or just fly with friends as passengers.

Initiation Fee:
Regular Membership: $300 or family $450
Associate Membership: $100/year for 3 years

Monthly Dues: $25/month ($35 for Associate members in the first year)

Towing Fees: 1000ft $20, 2000ft $30, 3000ft $40

Instruction: $20/hour of flying - Ground school: no charge

Glider Rental: No Charge!

Single Ride for Non-Members: $60

Soaring Society of America: $64/year (http://www.ssa.org)

It is possible that MSA funding will be used to supplement some of these fees in the future.
