Academic Integrity

Each student has a responsibility to understand, accept, and comply with the University’s standards of academic conduct as set forth by the Code of Academic Conduct of The Division of Kinesiology. There are several categories of academic misconduct. The categories include (but are not limited to):
  • Cheating – use or attempted use of unauthorized materials, student aids or information in any academic exercise
  • Fabrication – falsifying or inventing information or data
  • Collusion – aid or attempt to aid another student in committing academic misconduct
  • Interference – preventing another student’s work from being completed or evaluated properly
  • Plagiarism – use of ideas, words or statement of another person without giving credit
Violations will not be tolerated and will result in penalties that may include:
  • A zero on the exam/project
  • A failing grade in the class Community service
  • Expulsion from the University
