Port of ldap 3.3 for DEC UNIX?

I tried to bring up ldap 3.3 on DEC UNIX 3.2C. In particular I was interested
in trying out slapd. The software builds and installs without a hitch.
However, when building the initial database, per the SLAPD/SLURPD
Administrator's guide, using ldif2ldbm, the program dies with a core dump.

This problem has been reported to the bug list, but they know of no one
working on it.

I thought I'd check here to see if anyone else has 1) encountered the problem
and 2) worked on it.

I've taken a very brief look, it appears to be dying with a segmentation
fault.

I'm willing to root around some more, but don't want to spend a lot of time
on it, especailly if someone else is working on the problem.

Thanks,

P.S. Do any of the previous versions work with DEC UNIX?
