ldap config question

I believe I have something configured incorrectly on my ldap server. When I use
a browser like Max.500 to get a list of DSAs in the US, the request is being
chained to other DSAs and takes quite a long time. When I use Dish, the
request goes to my DSA and the response is immediate. I have Max.500 configured
correctly (to use my ldap server, etc.) but I must have something configured
wrong elsewhere. Hope you can help.
