You also have to consider the security issues. Are you going to
implement ACLs within the Cache, or if one user has permission
to read certain entries and attributes, will these be made available
to the next user from the cache, regardless of whether that user has
permission to these entries and attributes.

What about the issue of stale data? How long can a caching LDAP agent
legitimately keep data in its cache?
