The Sharon State Game Area is owned by the state of Michigan.  
It's probably 10 times largers than Nan Weston.   It is 
designated a hunting area....interspersed are homes and 
businesses, and near to the homes and close to the roads are 
"safety zones" where shooting is not allowed.  There is a shooting 
range off Sharon Hollow Rd.  I don't believe camping is actually 
allowed though I know some people do.  More info can be had here:
