Territorial intersection. From Ann Arbor get to North Territorial any way that's convenient and drive west almost all the way to Chelsea. You'll first come to the entrance to Park Lyndon South, which will be on your left. If you continue on another couple hundred yards, you'll come to the entrance to Park Lyndon North on your right. There are parking areas for both sections of Park Lyndon. There is a great variety of habitat in the two sections of the park, particularly in Park Lyndon North. Park Lyndon South includes Lake Genevieve. The most convenient way to get to Park Lyndon for most will be to drive from Ann Arbor to Dexter, go through town on the main drag (westward), go through the tunnel, and then swing right (north) onto Dexter-Pinckney Road. Continue until you come to North Territorial Rd. Turn left (west) there and drive a few miles until you come to Park Lyndon South and then Park Lyndon North. You can't miss them. Park Lyndon is in Lyndon Township. Both sections of the park are bordered by Embury Road on the east. It's easy to get lost in either section of the park--particularly the north section, which has a lot of criss-crossing trails. Many of the trails are not on the map of Park Lyndon, but a map is useful nonetheless. To get one by mail, call the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission: 971-6337. No maps are available at the park entrances. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruce M.
