Stay on Huron Church Rd, which will become Rte 7, several miles ahead as Rte 3 bends left toward the W end of Rte 401. Follow Rte 7 for a few miles until it ends at Howard Avenue (Rte 9), then turn right (S) and go about 10 miles until Rte 9 ends. Turn right (W) onto Rte 18, but go only a short distance to Malden Centre. Then turn left (S at first, then SE) on Rte 50. The entrance to Holiday Beach area is a mile or two ahead, on the right. At the admission booth, they will give you a map with the route marked to the Hawk Observation Tower (<1 mile ahead). Note: if someone wants to go to Pelee on leaving Holiday Beach, it is about an hour's drive. On emerging from the park at Holiday, go back to Rte 18 in Malden Centre and take Rte 18 E through Kingsville and on into Leamington. This road will change its number to Rte 20 in Leamington; continue straight ahead for a short distance and turn right at the sign indicating Point Pelee NP, onto Rte 33. For further info, see the instructions to Pelee. Note also: some prefer to take Rte 401 from just SE of Windsor to the exit marked Leamington on Rte 401. This is slightly longer in distance, but the faster speed on Rte 401 makes the total time to Pelee about the same.
