Gotfredson Marsh in Superior Twp is a good one:

from Ann Arbor
--take Plymouth Rd east for 7 miles past US 23
--turn right (south) on Gotfredson Rd (just past Plymouth Nursery)
--go 1/2 mile and cross Warren Rd and after about 1/2 mile the 
  road curves and goes down a slight hill--the marsh will be on 
  your left 

--species frequenting the marsh include great egret, great blue 
  heron, green heron, wood duck, eastern bluebird, tree swallow, 
  barn swallow, magnolia warbler, yellow-rumped warbler, black-
  and-white warbler, among others
