Floppy EMUlator for Linux, c source (also known as "SIO2Linux") by Pavel Machek and Preston Crow A C program for Intel Pentium based PC's running the Linux operating system. Like "SIO2PC" and "APE" for MSDOS PC's, this program allows you to connect an Atari 8-bit's SIO serial port to your PC's RS232 serial port and use your PC as though it were a disk drive. This version, 1.4, is very simple. Up to 8 drives of any size, single or double density, can be loaded. You shouldn't use any other SIO devices at the same time. There's no user interface. But it works (at least for those of us who've tried it so far!) and it's far better than corrupting your Linux box with an MSDOS partition, or using a second PC to run SIO2PC/APE, even though they're excellent programs! Compile with "gcc femul-1.4.c -o femul" and run "femul". You can also get "femul" to let your Atari (running a VT terminal) connect to your Linux box's "getty" and log-in from it.
