Looking west along Fort St. (unsigned M-85) in Detroit.  At the light in the distance Fort St. makes a left turn and heads south towards its interchange with I-75.

Railroad bridge on Fort St. (unsigned M-85) heading south.  The bridge is in a sorry state of disrepair is now slated for reconstruction as part of the MDOT 5 year plan.

Looking north on Fort St. at the then recent northern terminus of M-85.  Note that the northbound I-75 bridge has been demolished pending reconstruction.

An alternate view of the same.  Note the additional pier added in preparation for the new bridge.  Although additional lanes were not added to I-75 during this project, the existing shoulders were not Interstate standard, so the overpasses were widened to accommodate full shoulders.

The following photos were taken on 8-21-2002 and show the nearly complete northbound pavement.
