Mission Statement
The University
of Michigan (Ann Arbor) Chapter of the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination
Committee is an organization dedicated to the promotion of Arab-American
culture and interests and the battle against discrimination. Our
mission is to increase awareness of Arab-American culture among
the members of our organization and the community at large while
forming a support base for Arab-Americans on campus. We hope to
dispel negative stereotypes which plague Arab-Americans in our
society, while providing our affiliates with outlets for cultural,
social, and political expression and organization. Our group recognizes
the value of service to the community and we seek to incorporate
service projects into our activities. Also among our goals is
cooperation with other individuals and groups who are committed
to fighting discrimination against all people. The University
of Michigan chapter, in keeping with the spirit of ADC's
national office, is non-partisan and welcomes all people regardless
of gender, ethnicity, religion, or color.
