Biography

Alejandro Gonzalez was born in Mexico City , Mexico in 1963. 28 He was born with a lot of talents. 29 In 1987 he was working as a DJ on the top-rated Mexican radio station WFM while studying film and theater and later composed music for six major Mexican films. 30 Then he became one of the youngest Television producers in Mexican being in charge of production for the country's number one TV Company, Televisa. 31 Later he created his own film company, Zeta Films, where he began writing television commercials. 32 During this time he continued his studies in filmmaking in Los Angeles and Maine . 33 After meeting screen writer Guillermo Arriaga the two began creating a film with a string of vignettes that portrayed the contradictory lifestyle of Mexico City . 34 Their Film, “Amores Perros” won best film at its release at the Festival de Cannes in 2000. 35 It was an international hit and was nominated for an Oscar for Best foreign film. 36 He then participated in a collaboration film about the impact of 9-11 where he met actor Sean Pean. 37 His success from both of these movies made way for him to enter Hollywood . 38 His second full length feature written by Guillermo Arriaga starred heavy weight actors such as Naomi Watts, Sean Penn, and Benicio del Toro. 39 His film won two Oscars for Watts ' and Toro's performance. 40 With only three movies under his belt, Alejandro has made quite a name for himself.
